Linda Mundt
Linda moved to Naples in the Summer of 2016. Before Naples, she taught yoga for a large Wisconsin health care corporation as well as for Madison’s original yoga studio. She received her 200 and 500 hour certification from Alignment Yoga with Scott Anderson and Andrea Russell and has studied Ashtanga Yoga with Richard Freeman, Iyengar Yoga and Hatha Yoga. She currently is the Assistant Instructor for the Alignment Yoga YTT-500 Teacher Training Program.
Linda served as Supervisor of the YogAutism program and trainer of YogAutism teachers. Her teaching experience includes specialty topics: Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Healthy Bones Yoga, Yoga for Better Sleep, Yoga for Neck and Shoulder Relief, and Healthy Back Yoga. She also has a practice of private sessions for those recovering from or wanting to prevent injury or surgery, those wanting help with a specialized topic, or anyone wanting to explore basics before joining a class.
Linda’s philosophy is that the more mindful we are in seeing, feeling, and understanding our own bodies, the more personal power we can enjoy. Mindful awareness brings both healing and satisfaction. Linda is a meditation student of Youngey Mingyur Rinpoche of the Tergar community. She recently completed coursework for Pilates Mat teaching. Off the mat, Linda enjoys swimming and an active Feng Shui practice.
Lauren Fox
Lauren has been Yoga Alliance 200HR RYT since November 2012. Her passion is connecting fellow yogis to one another, to the earth, and to the present moment, through yoga. She loves learning and continues to grow through feedback from students and teachers. She gives herself the title of Eternal Student and is always the first to admit, “I don’t know what I don’t know.” In 2014 Lauren started Donation Yoga Naples to allow everyone the opportunity to practice asana and karma yoga. She gives half of all donations raised in these classes to local non-profits. The idea stemmed from hope that one day we will see peace signs over dollar signs. Lokah Samastah.
Cynthia Vander Wielen
Cynthia has been practicing yoga for more than half her life, and teaching yoga for over 15 years. Before relocating to Naples in 2011, Cynthia was a studio owner of donation based Gateway Yoga in the Midwest. She believes yoga classes from a skilled teacher should be available to everyone regardless of their financial situation, and not limited to those with financial freedom. With that being said, she is excited and honored to be a part of our Zen Center. As a physical therapist, Cynthia’s no nonsense classes focus on Alignment and Safe, Intelligent transitions with respect for the skeletal and musculature. Her ability to teach to the room and not just to a few is evident in her class. She will deliver detailed instruction for asana, pranayama, and meditation without preaching about life’s difficulties or fruits.
